On Saturday, 16 October, our Touch teams played a double-header as well as their regular Friday evening game. This was to make up for games missed due to Covid and unavailability of the playing fields. It was a challenging day with hot and windy conditions and most of our younger players ended up playing for an older team too, resulting in 4 games in the one day. Everyone really dug in, gave it their best effort, and kept smiling.

Last weekend, a team of Year 7/8 girls competed at the Junior Queensland Volleyball Schools Cup. This event sees teams from all over Queensland competing over 3 days and is a hotly contended competition. This was their first time participating in an event of this calibre and they did us proud. They finished at the top of their pool in the first 2 days and headed into Semi-Finals on Sunday. Unfortunately, they faced a very strong and experienced All Hallows team and were unable to secure a win. They then played off for 3rd and defeated Capalaba in straight sets, securing the Bronze medal. Well done girls - we are so proud of you!

A reminder that even though this Friday is a Pupil Free day, sport is still on, and teams are expected to play their fixture. Please contact your team coach if you have any questions.
