Sport T2 W6 2022

SPORT

Flooded roads, soggy fields, dripping rooves, rain drops keep falling. It seems to be never ending and just when we thought we were able to get back into the swing of things for our sporting teams we were rudely interrupted again and again. Hopefully this weekend sees a change in the weather pattern with a bit of sun breaking through the clouds and soon we will be able to get back to a normal routine with trainings and games.

Over the last couple of weeks, we were lucky to still be able to participate in a couple of sporting events. The District Cross-Country Championships saw 6 students qualify for the Met East Cross Country which has now been postponed to the 6th June. Our Schools Futsal Competition for the 15-16 years has finished up for Semester 1, congratulations on a great season; The Junior School Volleyball season has kicked off nicely with lots of interest; The Falcons Volleyball and Basketball teams have been doing the falcon proud on the court.

It is a big week in sport and we wish all our teams all the best in the Netball Vicki Wilson Championship; the Queensland’s Volleyball Schools Cup in Toowoomba; and the Kokoda Challenge. Our next major sports event is the Inter-House Athletics Carnivals.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this frustrating time of cancellations for trainings, sporting events and competitions. We wish all Faith Falcons teams the best of luck over the coming weeks, as venues start to dry out and open again for trainings and competitions, and as always, Beware the Falcon!
