Sport T1 W4 2021
Junior School Sport
The opening events of the Junior School swimming season produced some great contests amongst the new and the experienced swimmers. The introduction of the Afternoon Time Trial event at the YMCA established extra confidence in the students to take on their favourite strokes in the Twilight Meet.
Congratulations to the following swimmers:
We look forward to presenting their medallions at the Junior Assembly on Thursday, 25 February. These swimmers will make up part of the swim squad who are training for the upcoming SLAPS Swimming Carnival on Tuesday, 9 March.
Secondary School Sport
Last week was a huge week for Active@Faith, with 5 Basketball teams, 5 Touch Football teams and 3 Volleyball teams taking to the court or field!
We also confirmed 11 teams and almost 80 students to enter into the Australian Futsal School Titles; 4 Kokoda teams; and several Beach Volleyball Schools Cup teams.
Fyfey's soccer training is back on a Tuesday morning before school, and beginner group tennis takes place then too. Around 30 students are taking part in Faith Flyers and many students are also hitting the YMCA pool for Faith Fins training.
It's MASSIVE and there's more to come with 4 netball teams about to sign up to the local Redlands competition too!
Sport is really taking off at Faith - Beware the Falcon!
