Welcome Back

It has been fantastic to see our new and returning students settling in so well this year. We are only in the second week yet I have been impressed with the engagement the students have shown in the curricular and extra- curricular areas of the College. I have also been so grateful with how the existing students have welcomed the new students and staff to our great College.

We are blessed to be part of a special community here at Faith.

I encourage you to keep an eye out for information pertaining to the many exciting opportunities at Faith. Our main avenue of communication is via email and College app. We also have a College Facebook and Instagram Page. These are used to share some of the great things happening at the school.

As we continue to build our Secondary community we are going to have a large focus on House spirit. This will involve more House activities occurring throughout the year. If you haven’t already please ensure that your child has a House shirt and that they wear it each Wednesday. The sense of belonging that being in House colours brings is vital to us building our culture at the College.

I look forward to catching up with families throughout the year.

I will leave you with this quote about the concept of collecting sticks in our Year 9 Ubuntu program “Students collecting an individual stick is symbolic of our journey through Ubuntu; separately I am one, but bound together I am strong and purposeful”.
