The Parents and Friends Association is a support group fostering involvement of parents and friends in the life of the College. It meets on a monthly basis and is active in funding educational resources for the students and promoting activities for parents and friends to participate in during the year.
Our annual FUNFEST (fete) is our major fund raiser for the year and it is held during the month of May each year. It allows the College to reach-out to the community and provide a day for the entire family in a safe environment.

2012 Report from P & FA President:
It has been my great honour, this year, to serve as President of the Faith Lutheran College, Parents and Friends Association. I don’t just say honour because I get to write an article for the Faith Focus. I truly mean that I am honoured and blessed to serve with a group of dedicated volunteers. Volunteers that help to raise money to purchase much needed, and appreciated, equipment for our College. We meet once a month and the first half of the year is always hectic, as we prepare for our biggest P & FA event of the year, Funfest. While blessed with an enthusiastic band of willing helpers, we could always do with plenty more; many hands make light work and all that. It may be a cliché, but in terms of getting Funfest to be the event that it is, it is all too true. A few more people at meetings that will put up a hand and volunteer to organise the roster for a stall, a few more people on Friday afternoon as the mammoth job of setting up Funfest goes ahead, a few more people willing to put aside an hour or two at Funfest to man a stall, and a few more people at the Sunday morning clean up, as the whole extravaganza gets packed up and the grounds made ready for Monday morning at school, would all help. Funfest this year made approximately $40,000 for our College. That is a fantastic result and everybody involved should be very proud of their achievement. Our other main fundraiser for the College is the Golf Day. Our Golf Day this year raised over $6,000 and is an important tool to provide a link between our College and the business community. Thank you, once again, to the people who turned up at 6:00am to get everything set up, and especially to the sponsors who donated so many prizes, that every player took something away. I would like to thank our Gold Sponsors, Keith Mole, from Keith Mole and Associates and Jake and Allison Gundry from Steel Framing Systems and Bronze Sponsors, Thor Electrical, The Athlete’s Foot, Bayside Cosmetic, Roam’ in Pizza and Kip McGrath. Above all, thank you to thank the Parents and Friends of Faith Lutheran College, Redlands. Obviously the members of the P & FA, but a huge thank you must go out to all the other Parents that have helped our College become what it is today. Parents who turn up on Funfest, parents who coach and assist with TAS and JTAS Sport, parents who help out with reading and all those other important tasks that go towards making our College a better community for all of our kids. I am terrible with names, but not bad at bluffing, and I look forward next year to working with and meeting so many more of you. So when I have a conversation with you at the shops and my wife says, “Who was that?” I can proudly say, “That’s the girl/bloke from the P&FA that looks after that stall at Funfest.
