Do you learn an instrument outside of school and would like to represent Faith at SHEP?

Keep reading and if you would like to nominate, please email the Head of Extra Curricular Music P-12 Jacinta.altmann@flcr.qld.edu.au with your nomination by Monday 1st March.

Students who are part of the Instrumental Music Program at Faith will be nominated by their tutors.

STATE HONOURS ENSEMBLE PROGRAM – SOUTH-EAST QLD (for students in years 6 - 9)

Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University is pleased to present State Honours Ensemble Program - South-East QLD to be held from 4 - 6 June at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. SHEP provides an opportunity for wind, brass, percussion, string, and voice students to work in an intensive environment of musical excellence with their peers, under the leadership of a team of eminent conductors from the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University.

Placements are available for students studying violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion, and voice.

(Please note that we do not have positions for drum kits, guitar, electric bass or piano)

Nomination Criteria
1. Students in years 6 - 9
2. Instrumental: AMEB 2 - 5, Vocal: choral experience is expected.

Important Information

  • students will be required to contribute a fee of $280 towards the cost of this program.
  • students/families attending this program are required to organise their own transport and accommodation throughout.
