A group of staff and students are preparing for the inaugural tour to Hope Vale Aboriginal Community during the first week of the June/July school holidays. On Saturday, 27 June they will travel by car to the Hope Vale Community located approximately 4 1⁄2 hours drive north-west of Cairns. Over the next five days, students will be involved in a range of activities with the local community, including; school holiday activities, participating in the local radio station, visiting Elim Beach with a local tour guide, Aboriginal art and spear making, a tour of the Gurrbi Caves and a local garden project. Throughout this week, the students will be journaling and writing blogs that can be followed through the Faith website.

We look forward to sharing our learning from this tour with students across all sub-schools.
